QUIMOBÁSICOS is a joint venture of CYDSA and Honeywell. It is the only manufacturer in Mexico of refrigerant gases and commercializes the latest generation of gases under the brand Genetron®. Its wide product line is directed to the refrigeration, air conditioning, foaming gases and propellants segments, serving both the domestic and export markets, mainly to Latin America and the US. In addition, Quimobásicos manufactures precision cleaning agents, gases for medicinal use and precursors for the fluoropolymer industry, among other products.

Quimobásicos also offers the service of destruction of fluorinated gases, considered Ozone Depleting Substances (ODA), by means of Argon Plasma Arc technology with a destruction and removal efficiency (EDR) of 99.99% in accordance with the standards established by the United Nations (UN).

Quimobásicos’s Plant was granted the Environmental Excellence Award by the Mexican Federal Government in 2004 and 2014, becoming the first manufacturer of chemical products in Mexico to obtain this award.
