SISA produces and commercializes iodized and fluoridated salt with the highest standards of taste, hygiene and quality for human consumption under its La Fina® and regional brands. In addition, SISA produces salt for industrial applications, such as water treatment and food processing.

CHLORINE-CAUSTIC SODA 

IQUISA, with 5 plants nationwide, produces chlorine, caustic soda and chemical specialties for different applications in the manufacturing industries of paper, textiles, plastics, pigments and paints, soaps and detergents, cleaning products, as well as in the water purification, steel pickling, mining, food industry, well drilling and oil drilling segments, among others.

REFRIGERATING GASES

Quimobásicos is a joint venture of CYDSA and Honeywell. It is the only manufacturer in Mexico of refrigerant gases and commercializes the latest generation of gases under the brand Genetron®. Its wide product line is directed to the refrigeration, air conditioning, foaming gases and propellants segments, serving both the domestic and export markets, mainly to Latin America and the USA. Quimobásicos also manufactures precision cleaning agents, gases for medicinal use and precursors for the fluoropolymer industry, among other products.

ELECTRICITY AND STEAM COGENERATION

The Electricity and Steam Cogeneration Business Unit has two plants in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, which supply these inputs to CYDSA’s Businesses at competitive costs. With both plants operating stably and according to their design capacity, this business will be able to satisfy all the electricity needs of the CYDSA’s facilities, as well as generate a surplus that will allow it to participate in the national electricity market, in accordance with Mexico’s Energy Reform regulations.

PROCESSING AND UNDERGROUND STORAGE OF HYDROCARBONS

CYDSA initiated the implementation of the Processing and Underground Storage of Hydrocarbons Business Unit, supporting the Group’s Vision for the creation of sustainable parks to store hydrocarbons in salt caves, in order to contribute to the clean, efficient and safe operation of energy in Mexico.
